He refinished our basement. For folks who just moved in, his information is available from the Hopkinton Welcome Wagon.

Pros: very reasonable labor prices, meticulous attention to detail, willing to be flexible in the tasks but still get the job done based on the estimate (i.e., he's not going to find additional thousands of dollars of work that must be done outside of the estimate), reliable, and punctual.

Cons: He does all the work himself (sometimes he lets his son help) so if you need it to be done quickly, he's not your guy.

"Mike works on plumbing, heating, air conditioning and gas piping. I have used Mike on numerous occasions and find him competent, professional, knowledgeable, responsive and, unlike the contractor recommended by Dannin for plumbing work, very reasonable in his charges.

When we on Rosewood Lane had the sewer back up problem, it was after hours and I called Mike. He tried to assist us on the phone but could not. He said he would be right over, and he came, arriving before several of the emergencies responders".

I would like to share a vendor for window glass replacement - Holliston Glass. Will replace cracked or damaged window and not add the cost of replacing the window sill when not needed. Great price, quick efficient service and professional staff make this a good choice.

I think letting people know about vendors is a GREAT idea. I can unhesitatingly recommend Peter Dicken for any tile work. He is local, and he is a real craftsman. He ripped up our old tile floor and replaced it as well as adding a backsplash. The cuts are amazing. He also came when he said he would, was very neat and clean, and gave an estimate that he stuck to. His contact info is:

We contacted Bruin Windows only because it was strongly suggested by the management company. Much to our surprise, their price was 1/3rd that quoted by other vendors. We ordered the windows, waited the delivery time, and they were installed in one day while we were at work. The noise reduction alone made this worthwhile!

Milford Ceramic Tile did all my flooring before I moved in. They do it all: carpeting/area rugs, hardwood and laminate, and tile. They also do countertops. It's a family business that's been in Milford for a long time. Gino is great to work with.
